My involvement with Southsea Infant School began towards the end of the 1900s. I was firstly an LEA Governor and recently became a co-opted governor due to Government changes. I am passionate about children receiving an excellent education. It is for this reason I was keen to be involved with the school as a governor, assisting whenever and wherever possible, for example at summer fetes and jumble sales.
I have three grown up daughters and six grand children, one granddaughter and five grandsons. I speak both French and Spanish, along with a little German. My interests include swimming, keeping fit and painting when time permits, alongside the usual grandchildren duties. I have an allotment which is great fun, lots of hard work and very rewarding with very tasty produce- nothing better!
